First week in Athens

The school is in such a primal location, it’s directly next to the Parthenon.
The first week was just orientation so we had plenty of meetings that covered everything from understanding the culture to safety precautions.
We also had to take a Greek language class that covered the basics needed to get around. It didn’t go very well but I do know how to say hello, sorry, and thank you.

Apartment Tour

The view from our balcony
Our location is great we are only a seven minute walk from campus. We also live right next to a grocery store, tea shop, and plenty of nice restaurants.
Compared to some of the other apartments the students got ours is really nice and relatively large. There is a large balcony that connects to the two larger bedrooms. I’ve been doing yoga on the balcony the past few mornings.
What I’ve been up to

Met some great people here. We got a group together after class and casually walked to the Acropolis. I find everyone to be extremely adventurous and down for anything.
I am really happy with my roommates, we all get along great and have similar interests and goals for the trip. There are 5 girls in my apartment but I have yet to meet one of them since she is coming a week late.

Field Study to Delphi

We had our first school trip to Delphi this weekend, which is around a 3 hour drive from Athens. It was a quick trip just one night and two days.
We visited the archaeological site of Delphi and the museum connect to it.
We stayed at a beautiful hotel in the mountains near the site. The town of Delphi was tiny but so cute and historic. Great time!
